What we offer

Illume is an information storytelling studio creating experiences with visual languages, exploratory and interactive environments.

Get in Touch →

  • Clarity before design. We work out what needs to be communicated, to whom, and in what form, so every visual, interface and experience is built on a clear purpose.

  • Distinctive visual languages for organisations that work with information, giving your data, reports and communications a recognisable look and voice.

  • Information sequenced with intention. We guide audiences through information, data, ideas, and narratives using visuals and messaging that build understanding and leave a lasting impression in a storytelling manner.

  • Information and raw data transformed into something clear - from rigorous analytical charts to more expressive representations where information becomes something worth looking at and remembering in a storytelling manner.

  • Purpose-built digital tools that put complex information directly in the hands of the people who need it. Whether a dedicated app or an interactive platform for reports, publications, information, data designed to be intuitive, engaging, and built around how people actually use information in a storytelling.

  • The repeatable visual framework that keeps information consistent across every touchpoint, the rules, components, and styles that ensure everything coheres at scale.

  • Information and data made functional and visual. We design dashboards and touchscreens interfaces that don't just display information but make them meaningful, so the right people can see what matters, when it matters.

The illume way

Using visual languages and interactive experiences built on clear creative thinking and strategy.

  • Visual Language Systems

A visual language system is the consistent set of visual rules that shapes how a brand looks and feels across every touchpoint. It includes colour, typography, layout, imagery, illustration, motion, and tone, working together so everything is instantly recognisable and cohesive. It’s not just aesthetics; it’s how meaning, emotion, and values are communicated visually.

  • Interactive Experiences

An interactive experience is any designed moment where people actively engage rather than passively observe. This can be physical or digital, installations, environments, websites, exhibitions, retail spaces, or activations, where users explore, respond, make choices, or participate. The goal is connection, immersion, and memory, not just information delivery.

  • Creative Strategy

Creative strategy is the thinking behind the making. It defines the why, who, and how before any visuals are created. It aligns business goals, audience insight, messaging, and emotion into a clear direction that guides design, content, and experiences. A strong creative strategy ensures everything you create is intentional, aligned, and effective, not just “nice looking.”
